There are, in fact, two calendars.

The fae have their own calendar that they keep, with their own months and names (one per moon cycle, so it's slightly shorter than the average human month and there are 13 of them), and their own day names (24 hours still, at least; daylight is called a sun day, night is called a moon day).

That said, they don't really have the highest level of confidence that the Adopted will be able to grok all that. So the Leafs have a calendar that goes along with whatever its owner knows to be the calendar/time. The fae think it's pretty ridiculous to care that much about something as silly as time. But they'll do the "timezone" conversion for the Adopted when they need to meet with one of them.

Watches and such will work assuming they don't require a charge or new batteries. But they'll need to be reset to the "correct" time displayed on the Leaf.

The royals are the seasons and the seasons are the royals. They don't necessarily control the flow of the world; it's more about respecting the natural flow of things. They could delay the seasons/time of day but it's a faux pas. They can "feel" the change of the seasons/the time of day intrinsically and move and make decisions based off that. This, however, is something the Adopted will have to try and figure out for themselves if they're curious. The royals love talking about themselves.
